How important is it for people to have a very real presence around believers and nonbelievers. Anger certainly is never a good situation to be in. The Bible doesn't say, " Never get angry." It does say however," Be angry, and do not sin."Anger is a God-given, powerful emotion. Anger can cause positive change, or handled poorly can cause great harm.
So what should believers do with their angry feelings? They should not indulge in that anger, because many times we make a statement or a remark that can be very damaging to people and you may regret saying it at a later date.
As God's people, we must put out of our lives bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speech and malice. Put our rest in the Lord and replace those attitudes and actions with positive ones.
When we accept Christ as Savior, we receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus had promised the Spirit to His followers. The Holy Spirit marks God's people as His own; we are sealed for the day of redemption.
The Christian life is a process of change and growth toward maturity. Far too many people stop growing In Christianity and that can be disastrous in our walk with the Lord. How can we grow in the Lord if we don't read the word and receive the word daily. One of the things that I pray to God for is wisdom. Our prayer lives are so important to who we are in our daily walk with Christ. Remember, before the sun sets ask yourself, did I please Jesus today.
Words are powerful. They can wound or heal. Spoken in love or anger, words are often remembered by the hearer for many years. A believers words must be carefully chosen and considered in the light of one's relationship with Christ.
